Dental Checkup
Routine cleaning and examinations are essential partners to daily tooth cleaning for the maintenance of oral health. Most people retain some tartar, plaque, or stain that they can not reach or efficiently remove. Professional cleanings by licensed hygienists and regular examinations by the dentist can often head off tooth damage leading to tooth loss through early intervention.
Dental Veneers and Laminates
For damage, discolored or fractured teeth due to accident, erosion, infection or congenital or developmental problems, such as tetracycline staining, teeth can be restored to ideal shape and color or even whitened using bonded porcelain, ceramic or composite veneers. Composite veneers can typically be completed in one visit while porcelain or ceramic veneers will take two visits.
Dental crowns and Dental Bridges
Teeth that are badly damaged by fracture, decay, or infection can be restored and stabilized using full coverage dental crowns often called caps. These restorations cover the whole tooth protecting the damaged teeth. Dental bridges can replace one or more teeth by connecting to crowned adjacent teeth.
Dentures, Partial Dentures, Implant Supported Dentures and Hybrid Implant Dentures
When many teeth are lost and/or existing teeth are no longer restorable sometimes it is better to remove teeth. For an entire arch such as the upper teeth or lower teeth this is done using a complete denture. If there are several teeth to replace a partial denture can be used that connects to adjacent teeth using claps and rests. Both of these solutions can come in and out of the mouth for nightly cleaning and rest of the gum tissues.
Dental Implants and Implant Solutions
Dental implants are one of the most reliable and predictable methods to replace single or multiple missing teeth. Dental implant solutions do NOT require connecting to existing healthy teeth, like bridges or partial dentures. Single teeth, several teeth as a bridge or even entire arches can be with implants and crowns, bridges, or dentures, known as hybrid dentures or sometimes called “teeth in a day”.
Tooth whitening
Whether from external influences such as diet, drinks that stain like soda, coffee, tea and wine, oral habits such as smoking, or from congenital color changes to tooth color like tetracycline staining, teeth can generally be safely whitened under the care of a profession dentist.
